Slovenia's highest mountain is called Triglav - "the three headed mountain". It is the number one national symbol and tradition says that every true Slovene should climb it at least once in their lifetime. Be one of our proud guests and join this club, and we’ll grant you this honorary title!

Walk highlights:
• among the peaks of the Triglav National Park
• hike to the highest Slovene mountain, Triglav
• stay in alpine mountain huts
• take a refreshing dip in Moznica canyon river

This is neither a walk nor a hike. It is a climb. There are via ferrata sections on day 3, you will need to use hands too. Not suitable for anyone with a vertigo problem, nor for children under 16 years. In line with our "Safety First Policy" we only offer it in guided form.

DAY 1. Arrival in Bled (501 m) (4* hotel).
Bled is a popular town on the shore of a beautiful glacial lake with a combination of natural wonders and unique culture and history. Take a stroll around the lake and visit its unique island church and medieval castle perched high upon a towering precipice.

(12 km, 1170 m ascent, 390 m descent, 6-hour walk) (mountain hut accommodation).
Today it's into the heart of the Triglav National Park and Julian Alps. The trail slowly ascends to Vodnikov Dom hut, amid the glorious views of Mt. Triglav (Slovenia's highest mountain (2864 m)), and its neighbouring peaks. You will spend the night at Planika hut, right underneath Triglav.

(6.3 km, 610 m ascent, 1150 m descent, 4-hour walk) (mountain hut accommodation).
Time to climb to the top of Mt. Triglav, towering high above Planika Hut. This is best done very early in the morning so you may enjoy the sun going up above the little country of Slovenia. After traditional baptism, receiving the honors for climbing the "Three Headed Mountain " and thus becoming a real Slovene, you will start your descend. A short stop for lunch at Kredarica hut and you'll head for your days' destination - Vodnikov dom above Bohinj Valley.

(14 km, 430 m ascent, 1720 m descent, 4-hour walk) (4* hotel).
Descending in a southern direction you will reach unspoiled and untouched Voje Valley. Its beautiful natural gems is Mostnice Gorge, where river Motnica has cut its deep, steep and narrow riverbed into limb stone hillsides. Stop for a moment at the Devils' bridge and read about the legend connected to it. End your day enjoying a great view of Bohinj Lake at sunset.

The tour ends with a hearty breakfast, after which you are free to do as you please.

Note that tour program might be changed in case of bad weather.
