Cycling, hiking, rafting and kayaking in Slovenia
This multisport adventure tour is a perfect blend of hiking, cycling, rafting & kayaking amid breathtaking alpine scenery. The glacial lakes, Bled and Bohinj, as well as Triglav National Park, are just some of the outstanding locations for these activities. A fairly good level of fitness is required for this tour.
Itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL IN KRANJSKA GORA
Start your tour in the fabulous alpine town of Kranjska Gora with the beautiful western Julian Alps as your backdrop.
Day 2: HIKING JASNA VALLEY (5 hrs, ↔ 17 km, ↑↓ 460 m)
As you embark on your warm-up stroll, you'll journey past the first of the many stunning lakes you'll explore during this excursion: the enchanting Lake Jasna. Framed by the rugged peaks of the Julian Alps, Lake Jasna provides an idyllic setting for relaxation. Yet, save your leisure for the return trip, as there's more beauty to behold ahead. As you venture further through the scenic Jasna Valley, you'll be met by the majestic mountain amphitheater formed by the Prisank and Razor Mountains. Your journey will conclude with a visit to the poignant "Russian Chapel," a tribute to Russian prisoners of war who perished while constructing the military road over Vršič Pass during World War I.
Day 3: CYCLING KRANJSKA GORA – BLED (↔ 40 km, ↑ 310 m, ↓ 620 m)
Today's adventure leads you alongside rivers as they carve their paths through verdant valleys, embraced by majestic peaks. Your journey begins in the village of Mojstrana, where you'll venture into the Krma and Radovna valleys. As you approach the exit, don't miss the chance for a short detour to marvel at the roaring rapids of Vintgar Gorge. Soon after, you'll step into the enchanting realm of Lake Bled, a place that feels straight out of a fairy tale.
Day 4: CYCLING BLED - KROPA - RADOVLJICA - BLED (↔ 35 km, ↑↓ 510 m)
Today's cycling adventure takes you to Kropa, Slovenia's premier blacksmith town, where you can explore an iron forging museum, delving into the craft's rich history. Following this, pedal up to the charming hilltop church of Jamnik, renowned for offering a quintessential postcard-worthy view of Slovenia, complete with the picturesque church against a backdrop of majestic mountains.
Day 5: RAFTING LAKE BLED (↔ 8 km, grade 2-3)
A three-hour rafting trip on the Sava Dolinka river (grade 2-3). This trip is suitable for all, no extra experience or equipment needed. With a free afternoon in Bled you'll have time to explore its lake, row yourself over to the island church, and hike up to the clifftop castle for a splendid view across the lake and valley, then end the day by treating yourself to Bled's famous cream cake.
Day 6: HIKING POKLJUKA – USKOVNICA - LAKE BOHINJ (4 hrs, ↔ 14 km, ↑ 30 m, ↓ 830 m)
A transfer to the Pokljuka Plateau, where your hiking adventure commences across mountain pastures adorned with quaint farmhouses. This scenic route leads to a vantage point offering a splendid view into the picturesque Bohinj Valley. En route down to the valley, make a pit stop at the charming historic village of Studor, offering a glimpse into days of yore. Your ultimate destination is Lake Bohinj, a genuine treasure nestled in the heart of Triglav National Park, and the quaint fisherman's settlement gracing its shores.
Day 7: KAYAKING OR CANOEING AT BOHINJ LAKE
A rest day or a gentle kayak on Lake Bohinj. Please let us know in advance if you want kayak or canoe.
Lake Bohinj, the jewel of the Triglav National Park. Spend a lazy, tranquil afternoon on one of the hidden beaches, or take a circuitous walk around the lake, then the cable car up for a view of the lake and valley from Vogel ski resort (1532m high) or head to its source, Savica waterfall.
Day 8: DEPARTURE
After breakfast or extension of your stay.

Getting there...
By plane: closest airport is Ljubljana (LJU). Several airlines serve it (check connections here). From the airport you can travel to Kranjska Gora by bus (change once in Kranj, takes about 3 hrs) or book our transfer (faster - 45 mins): please ask us for a favorable quote!
By train: nearest railway station is in Jesenice, take a local bus (some 45 minutes) or order our transfer 20 EUR per person, two-person minimum.
By bus: Flixbus stops at Lake Bled, 42 km away.
By car: take exit Karavanke on A1 motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice, Karavanke and then follow signposts to Kranjska Gora. On motorway Villach - Venice, take exit Tarvisio in Italy or exit Villach West in Austria. Unguarded parking at first hotel for the duration of your trip costs 5 EUR per night per car.
